Marketing awards wins takes total to 6 for Goodnight Kiwi

The Return of Goodnight Kiwi was recognised (again!) recently with a win at the TVNZ Marketing Awards winning both Best use of Sponsorship and Retail categories.

That's 6 awards in total for this collaboration.

This is particularly pleasing for two reasons; firstly Goodnight Kiwi was a large and complex partnership with stakeholders across The Warehouse, TVNZ, various publishers and authors, three agency providers and many store teams.

Secondly, a recent study showed that NZ literacy had slipped from 22nd place in 2011 to 32nd out of 50 countries in 2017. 43% of Kiwi adults struggle to read to the level society demands for basic living and almost 400,000 won’t read a single book in any given year. This is why throughout the series, for every book sold at The Warehouse which is featured on Goodnight Kiwi, we also gifted a book to a child in need through our Duffy Books in Homes partnership.
