Goodnight Kiwi collaboration recognised with awards
Incredibly proud of the team at The Warehouse for their work on the Goodnight Kiwi campaign which was recognised this week at the 2020 Beacons with 2 Golds and 2 Silvers.
A recent study showed that NZ literacy had slipped from 22nd place in 2011 to 32nd out of 50 countries in 2017. 43% of Kiwi adults struggle to read to the level society demands for basic living and almost 400,000 won’t read a single book in any given year. This is why throughout the series, for every book sold at The Warehouse which is featured on Goodnight Kiwi, we also gifted a book to a child in need through our Duffy Books in Homes partnership.
Goodnight Kiwi was a large and complex campaign with stakeholders across The Warehouse, TVNZ, various publishers and authors, three agency providers and 5 of our stores. For this reason, we are especially thrilled to have won Gold in the Best Collaboration category. We also saw some fantastic book sales!
